FAQ
Do I have to be in good shape to start the challenge?
Absolutely not! We have programs for beginner, intermediate and advanced fitness levels. However, if you answer “yes” to any questions on the PAR-Q (physical activity readiness questionnaire) we do recommend you see a doctor first. You will answer the PAR-Q questions when you register.
What if I miss an event or meeting?
While it’s best to attend all the weekly meetings and events, if your schedule does not permit perfect attendance, don’t worry. You can carry on with the ‘points system’ on your own.
What should I wear and what should I bring?
-Please wear comfortable clothes that you could workout in (ex. shorts, track pants, t-shirt, sturdy shoes).
-Please bring water, a pen, and a yoga mat or towel and your payment if you are paying by cash or cheque.
Where the heck is the UFV Human Performance Center?
The UFV Human Performance Center in BRAND NEW Health Sciences Building nearby the Trades and Technology Center (on the old army base in Vedder).
Directions:
From Keith Wilson Road, turn south on Tyson Rd (toward the military base).
Turn left at the stop sign (Caen Ave)
Turn right on Givenchy Rd.
Parking lot is on your left. There is an RCMP parking lot there too- park in the parking lot just past the RCMP lot.
Once you’ve parked, head toward the new UFV building (you ‘ll be crossing Givenchy Rd) down the paved corridor. Entrance is the first door on the right- it doesn’t look like a major entrance way. We’ll be here to welcome you in :)
